JOB SUMMARY
  • Certified Nurse Aides (CNA’s) provide personal care, health-related services, and assist with activities of daily living. CNA’s function under the direction, instruction and supervision of nursing staff. They attend to those who are being treated to manage illness and/or recovering from a procedure or surgical intervention. CNAs working/floating to PCU, IMCU or CCU units provide care for primarily adult patients who require cardiac monitoring. CNA’s have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities, surveys, improvement initiatives and continuing education.

  • Minimum Education
  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum Work Experience
  • Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Certified Nurse Aide
  • BLS
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Input data into computer programs.
  • Communication and public relation skills.
  • Obtain manual or electronic Vital Signs.
  • Work with therapeutic equipment.
  • Answers telephones.
  • Collaborate care with nurses and report patient concerns timely.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines.
  • Ensures excellent time and attendance.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and following HIPAA Compliance.
  • Maintain professional appearance at all times.
