- Establishes robust predictive (PdM) and preventative (PM) maintenance programs and ensures PdM/PM plans are completed on time and according to plan. Reviews and prioritizes PdM and PM feedback for further investigation or repair and enters work requests. Maintains and reviews equipment PdM and PM history for trends and takes corrective actions based on results.
- Reviews equipment maintenance and repair history for trends, identifies methods to correct and prevent recurrence, implements the corrective action, and tracks the improvement savings.
- Drives continuous improvement of the reliability process through KPI tracking and analysis, root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) execution, equipment criticality analysis, equipment maintenance strategy creation, and bad actor program development.
- Owns the site computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) equipment naming convention and structure (Functional Location structure), PdM/PM work task standardization and consolidation, and spare parts strategies.
- Coaches the maintenance team on PdM/PM tasks and skills, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to identify training opportunities to further reliability skill development.
- Embeds a reliability-centered maintenance culture in all aspects of maintenance, including process safety management (PSM), mechanical integrity (MI), management of change (MOC), continuous improvement (CI), and 5S principles.
- Works closely with other site engineers to develop and execute a robust mechanical integrity program in line with industry and AkzoNobel standards and best practices.
- Primary interface for maintenance team on capital projects. Promote equipment standardization and maintainability, determine equipment criticality, complete FMEAs, create equipment maintenance plans and spare parts strategies for implemented projects. Occasionally complete expense and capital projects related to equipment reliability. Contribute to the MOC and PSM processes.
- B.S. in an engineering discipline (mechanical or industrial preferred) with 3-5 years' chemical or resin plant experience or 6-10 years' experience in maintenance and reliability in-lieu of degree.
- Knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of process equipment such as fillers, cappers, case packers, conveyors, pressurized and atmospheric tanks, mixers, and pumps. Experience with MI codes and standards.
- Familiarity implementing or executing MI, PdM/PM, RCFA/FMEA, Equipment Maintenance Strategy, and Bad Actor programs
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb in a manufacturing environment wearing appropriate PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes)
- Strong computer skills. Ability to learn specialized SAP CMMS software.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems
