- Assume overall responsibility for the Costa Mesa store regarding merchandising, advertising, store profitability and adherence to all allocated budgets
- Lead a team of approximately 60 store employees to create and maintain a positive experience for both employees and customers
- Supervise and direct workforce, make staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and scheduling)
- Establish and maintain effective inventory control methods. Ensure customer satisfaction and product quality
- Manage the store's financial performance
- Manage all safety and security programs while ensuring compliance with city and county health requirements
- Specialty retail food chain experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in retail and foodservice management
- Prior supervisory experience (5 years +)
- Experience analyzing and creating financial reports (strong Excel)
- Able to manage market and café operations independently
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage resources to ensure that established service levels are achieved at all times
- Knowledge of customer service techniques
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
- Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
- Strong problem and team-building skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Advance computer skills using the MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
