- Conducts project site inspections as needed to monitor progress and support project-assigned team members, steps in as needed to address and resolve issues and problems, and recommends, approves, and implements modifications to the project plans, schedule, staffing, or budget as needed.
- Conducts Quarterly Safety Reviews (QSR) for each project in the Region. Has the ability to grade each project to Greystar expectations on four components: organization, curb appeal, safety violations and jobsite office. Each project in the Region is required to have a QSR each quarter.
- Participates in OSHA inspections, incident and near miss investigations. Ensures the project teams are utilizing the Incidents section in Procore to conduct inspections.
- Completes accident investigations and provides reports to the leadership team which will include inspection data, leading indicators and accident/incident data.
- Identifies and analyzes risks and hazards on project sites and builds a plan to mitigate these risks and hazards in future.
- Identifies inspection trends and builds a business plan to meet the Company’s objectives in Safety and Health.
- Coordinates, schedules and provides safety training on project sites and in regional offices. Assists in developing the project safety training schedule.
- Oversees multiple projects and manages Safety Consultants within a given region.
- Oversees compliance with the Company’s safety standards and applicable codes and other legal and regulatory requirements by staying informed about relevant codes and ordinances and permit requirements, and by preparing and/or submitting required documentation and other information to appropriate agencies.
- Provides leadership on construction project sites and builds working relationships with project team members, subcontractors and key business leaders.
- Communicates with key business leaders to provide updates on the status of projects, surface and address concerns, and plan specific actions as needed to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Frequent travel is required for this position, all projects must be inspected each quarter.
- Completes various human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary.
