- Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems
- Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
- May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production
- Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
- Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes
- Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans
- Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision
- Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain the proper configuration management database (CMPro) to ensure proper handling and tracking of all equipment associated with the programs.
- Ability to create and build Provisioning Parts List (PPL) and Technical Drawing Packages (TDP) for systems and send to Life-cycle Logistician and Equipment Specialists (EQ) as well as provide drawings of all parts being provisioned.
- Ability to create and process logistics documentation, (i.e., DD149s, DD1348s, DD250s, etc.)
- Ability to research all part numbers, H6 part descriptions, national stock numbers (NSN) and Cage codes for all systems as well as provide Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SMR) codes.
- Ability to build Fielding folders (SL-3, Scheduled Maintenance, LTI and Packing List) for systems being shipped out for fielding events.
- Ability to maintain and inventory all material and equipment, in various local locations, under NIWC Procurement contracts.
- Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS
- Current Professional Logistics Certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics
