DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support a newly awarded contract with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Support team. Work will be performed on-site in North Charleston, South Carolina.This program's support to NIWC LANT will include: Research and Development, Test and Evaluation, Prototype Fielding Kit Development, Engineering Documentation Development, Software Engineering, Integration, Training and Sustainment of the following systems Communication Emitter Sensing and Attacking System (CESAS), Tactical SIGINT Collection System (TSCS), and Marine Air Ground Task Force Electronic Warfare Ground Family of Systems (MEGFoS).Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems
  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
  • May also plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production
  • Develops raw material requirements, scheduling requirements from engineering specifications, production schedules, and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans
  • Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision
QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Six (6) years of experience in defense life cycle (acquisition) logistics support (or 8 years if not DAWIA Level 1 certified) of electronic systems, to include: logistics management, principles, practices, and processes. Four (4) years of experience in support of C4ISR systems. * Demonstrated management skills, to include Analyzing Contracts, Analyzing System Design Specifications, Analyzing Engineering/Systems Management Data, Developing Logistics Plans and Procedures, and Developing Logistics Management Plans and Guidelines.
  • Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain the proper configuration management database (CMPro) to ensure proper handling and tracking of all equipment associated with the programs.
  • Ability to create and build Provisioning Parts List (PPL) and Technical Drawing Packages (TDP) for systems and send to Life-cycle Logistician and Equipment Specialists (EQ) as well as provide drawings of all parts being provisioned.
  • Ability to create and process logistics documentation, (i.e., DD149s, DD1348s, DD250s, etc.)
  • Ability to research all part numbers, H6 part descriptions, national stock numbers (NSN) and Cage codes for all systems as well as provide Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SMR) codes.
  • Ability to build Fielding folders (SL-3, Scheduled Maintenance, LTI and Packing List) for systems being shipped out for fielding events.
  • Ability to maintain and inventory all material and equipment, in various local locations, under NIWC Procurement contracts.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS
DESIRED CERTIFICATION:
  • Current Professional Logistics Certification - i.e., Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle [Acquisition] Logistics Level 1, or have equivalent logistics training (resume to specify all equivalent training), or possess an additional two (2) years working in direct support of defense life-cycle logistics
