- Proper equipment selection based on reliability and maintainability
- Creating preventative maintenance plans and supporting their execution
- Defining critical spares for quick response to unplanned downtime
- Defining standard maintenance procedures to maximize maintenance effectiveness
- Plan strategic upgrades and identifying end of life equipment
- Hands on support of equipment modifications and upgrades
- Assisting the Maintenance Teams with advanced troubleshooting
- 15+ years in an optical or semiconductor manufacturing role
- Deep knowledge of vacuum systems and maintenance
- Experience with a variety of thin film evaporation technologies
- Familiarity with PLCs and machine controls
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical and software related issues
- Self-motivation for executing independent tasks
- Prioritize safety of operators and equipment users over anything else
- Ability to tackle technical problems hands on
- Strong analytical skills for advanced troubleshooting
- Excellent documentation abilities to build preventative maintenance plans and spare parts lists
- Ability to clearly interface with equipment vendors and service technicians
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a challenging field
- Patience and determination to perform tasks consistently and completely
- Team-player attitude to work within a dynamic group
