May also perform a variety of clerical duties and various tasks to provide a well-supplied, safe, and clean patient unit.Performance ExpectationGreets patient upon arrival and complete standard admission tasks Room set up after EVS clean to ensure room is ready for next patientCollects patient masks and redistributes new masksUpdates patient board with primary nurse and LNAParticipates in assisting the patient with readiness for discharge gathering patient belongings, assist patient with getting dressedCompletes room strip down after dischargeCompletes hourly rounding for patient experience on all assigned patients to include safety checks per unit standards utilizing a rounding script/checklistDelivers meal trays for patient not on precautions (i.e. aspiration) and set patients up to eatMoves beds to PACU/OR for surgical patientsSets patients up and assist patients with the completion of personal care and provide clean hospital gown, and change linensPerforms patient sitting for patients requiring 1:1 after successful completion of required learning activitiesAssists with uncomplicated patients and/or patients without precautions (BLT, etc.) with lifting, positioning, and dressing of patientsPerform quality checks of glucometers every 24 hoursAnswers call lights and direct patient needs to appropriate resourcesStocks equipment from central location to nurse server as needed to ensure unit is well supplied and monitor for expired suppliesAssists with the maintenance of overall unit organization and cleanlinessAnswers phones and handle calls appropriatelyPerforms other duties as required or assigned.
