We are seeking qualified applicants to drive our gravel trains and flatbeds. We service the greater Western Metro Detroit commercial & residential excavating and underground utility along with full site developmentWe are looking for experienced, gravel train drivers who can operate e heavy equipment (dozer, wheel loader, and excavator.)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Safely drive truck (manual transmission) to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads
- Handle and maneuver truck controls for safe loading and unloading of material
- Communicate with personnel before leaving to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site
- Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies
- Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions
- Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees, as well as customers
- Perform other duties as needed
- operate a manual transmission
- Must have a Class A Commercial Driver's License with double endorsement
