You will report financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
You will analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
You will evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
You will utilize Microsoft Excel, data query/data management tools, and Financial Systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
You will apply fiscal law to review and conduct Purpose, Time and Amount reviews of purchase requests.

This is a bargaining unit position.
This is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
QualificationsGS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing financial performance data and budgetary issues to identify trends, develop reports, alternative financial solutions, and funding projections for programs in which requirements have changed significantly.GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
