Are you a passionate, dedicated Support Planner looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Support Planner to join a Safeguarding and Family Support Team based in Islington.Umbrella Pay- £28.70 per hour.3 months initially.Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, 35 hours per week.The role:
  • Assist the Social Workers of the Disabled Children’s Team in developing support plans for children and young individuals under their care within the Disabled Children’s Team.
  • Create support strategies for children, youth, and their families in collaboration with both the family and professional networks.
  • Occasionally, you may need to participate in and contribute to Team Around the Child meetings and Child in Need Reviews.
  • Ensure that objectives are SMART and tailored to the individual child/young person and their family.
  • Ensure families comprehend Personal Budgets clearly, including their options for managing them, such as Direct Payments.
  • Arranging and determining the cost of support plans as needed.
  • Occasionally, meeting with families to assist them in establishing their support plan as necessary or suitable.
  • Calculate and organize payment arrangements for support plans.
  • Provide guidance to parents regarding the utilization of the pre-paid card and the associated agreement.
  • Revise support plans in event of crisis or changes in family circumstances, including recalculating the costs associated with the support plan.
Requirements
  • Appropriate qualifications and/or equivalent experience in healthcare, social services, or education.
  • Experience in creating personal budgets and support plans for disabled children and their families.
  • Experience in collaborating and communicating with disabled children and their families, along with an understanding of the challenges they encounter in a culturally diverse urban setting characterized by significant deprivation issues.
  • Capability to comprehend the requirements of parents and disabled children and facilitate other professionals in aiding these families through a motivational practice and relationship-centered approach.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads, work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
