Job Description:Overview:This position is responsible for providing solution design, development, and support work for the EDI & API operations of Logistics within the EDI team.The incumbent will execute company's EDI and API strategy and work-plans. In particular, this requires leading various projects and service requests with large enhancement of medium to high complexity, and to collaborate with trading partners, Logistics business users, vendors, Customs, and various IT team members to design and develop EDI, API solutions to support APL Logistics business strategy and operation.The Manager II will possess a strong working knowledge of technical and functional expertise in EDI programming using IBM Transformation Extender (IBM ITX), Axway B2Bi and perform EDI (ANSI-X12 / EDIFACT / XML / CSV / JSON / SOAP+XML) logical map development related to logistics industry, using standard protocols of AS2 / SFTP / FTP / PESIT / MQ / MQFTE etc and good API working knowledge on JSON, Swagger, Open API, WSDL, SOAP+XML, transformations, API connectors, Catalog, publish, maintain, manage access in API Portals and various API authentications like API Key, OAuth, basic userid/password, SSL etc and possess good understanding of Logistics and SCM operations to conduct and manage project development.This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, EDI Solutions. The position will work closely with APL Logistics IT portfolios, business, operations, customers, and vendors.Responsibilities:Responsibilities:
  • Work with business users and application groups to identify EDI & API requirements, estimate development effort, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and publish to the IT groups.
  • Design and develop EDI & API solutions producing appropriate documentation and with high degree of re-usability
  • Review test plan and test results to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested at all stages of development, and assist in preparation for production deployment
  • Manage service provider quality and performance to ensure that services are delivered according to the specified service levels and requirements
  • Optimize system resources and applications, and evaluate alternative solutions when required
Key Result Areas:
  • EDI and API solutions design, development, enhancements, and maintenance requests are delivered on schedule and meet business requirements: Design and develop the EDI & API solution using IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) and Axway B2Bi, logical map creation, maintenance and manage vendor deliveries and hours as per project schedule to meet business requirements
  • Key project stakeholders are engaged, involved and satisfied with the EDI & API solutions delivered: All projects are assigned and delivered according to business expectations. Delays or issues are properly escalated to business stakeholders and IT management.
  • Work and coordinate well with business users and other teams within Group IT, and aligned to meet the overall objectives of Group IT: Properly assign and manage work to other IT teams as necessary
Qualifications:Qualifications:Required Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or equivalent work experience, is required
Experiences:
  • Minimum 3 years of EDI working experience in IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) and Axway B2Bi with at least 2 years in providing support and assistance to customers relating to Onboarding EDI and managing API projects in hybrid cloud environment model.
  • Proven track record in managing complex IT projects with business users and internal IT team working together collectively to deliver results
Skill Sets:
  • Strong EDI working knowledge and with analysis & project management skills.
  • Good EDI working experience on IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) and Axway B2Bi.
  • Good API working knowledge on JSON, Swagger, Open API, WSDL, SOAP+XML, transformations, API connectors, Catalog, publish, maintain, manage access in API Portals and various API authentications like API Key, OAuth, basic userid/password, SSL etc.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Possess good technical expertise and perform EDI (ANSI-X12 / EDIFACT / XML / CSV / JSON / SOAP+XML) logical map development related to logistics industry, and using standard protocols of AS2 / SFTP / FTP / PESIT / MQ / MQFTE etc and possess good understanding of Logistics and SCM operations to conduct and manage project development.
  • Superior troubleshoot and problem resolution skills
  • Proven process and solution skills to deliver maximum results
  • Highly motivated team player with good understanding of Logistics operations and experience in multiple integration platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple high-priority EDI & API projects in a 24x7 support environment

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.The typical starting salary range for this position is: $88,550 - $111,563.The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location.
