- Assists with various Human Resources and general office functions that require an understanding of Human Resources concepts and good business practices
- Completes Human Resources Review templates and Rehire Approval forms
- Schedules and assists with orientation, prepares New Hire Orientation packets, submits New Hire reporting by state
- Maintains the Identification badge system. Prints badges, CONA Wallet cards and TeleTime Cards
- Assist associates with Electronic Self-Service transactions (ESS)
- Responds to associate's inquiries regarding policies and Company programs
- Maintain bulletin boards and government compliance postings
- Maintains personnel files and maintains current, accurate data in the Company's Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Runs Human Resources reports to ensure accuracy of data
- Assists with the coordination and communication of associate events and Human Resources initiatives
- Completes and forwards termination checklist to Human Resources Director for payout approval
- Provides assistance to supervisors and managers for payroll changes and additional MSS transactions
- Reviews Exception Reports for attendance and Leave of Absence purposes
- Completes and submits Leave of Absence Certification form to Voya
- Receives and reviews Leave of Absence emails from Employee Relations Manager and Voya
- Updates Leave of Absence spreadsheet and forwards associate leave information to managers each week
- Records corrective actions, Motor Vehicle Record Counseling, Performance improvement Plans and Power Industrial Equipment policy incidents in CONA
- Updates associate driver's license and DOT medical expiration dates in CONA
- Submits Live Positively/Wellness reimbursements quarterly
- Maintains tuition reimbursement log, collect forms and verifies associate eligibility
- Forwards garnishments to Payroll
- Compiles and forwards all DOT regulated documents to Risk Management including Driver Files
- Maintains available forms for associates, handles Human Resources equipment maintenance calls, orders supplies, compiles invoices for approval, coordinates Human Resources mail and distributes Beyond this Day memory boxes
- Orders background checks and Clearinghouse queries for candidates
- Reviews Drug Testing and Background website for candidate results daily
- Initiates E-Verify process for candidates and ensures completion within 3 days of hire
- Review Offer to Hire Tracker daily and updates as needed
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets

- One-year certificate from college or technical school; and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of SAP Human Resources & Payroll systems preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred
- Three years' experience in Human Resources required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusting relationships
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Frequent sitting, typing, and keying
- Ability to demonstrate adaptability, customer service, initiative, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
