- Must possess a Colorado Principal License or be able to obtain one.
- Preferred high school teaching experience.

- Ability and desire to work in an instructional team, focused on supporting the district’s goals and priorities

- Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school and assumes leadership of the school in the absence of the principal.
- Model and hold adults accountable for excellence.
- Model professionalism at all times and set staff expectations around professionalism.
- Work cooperatively with law enforcement authorities in maintaining a safe and drug-free school environment.
- Supervise the school’s educational programs and teaching process.
- Monitor delivery of the instructional program and provide feedback to staff regarding instructional expectations and practices
- Provide guidance to students on their academic or vocational goals and offer assistance with behavioral modification programs.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of intervention and referral services for pupils who are having difficulty in their classes and who are not in special education.
- Interact appropriately with students during the morning arrival, school day and end of the day.
- Maintain a student handbook and procedures for proper student conduct.
- Assists to define and disseminate information about school discipline policy and procedures to parents, students, staff, and community.
- Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, with follow-up student/parent contact where necessary.
- Support professional development programs for staff to maintain the best academic programs.
- Establish curriculum guidelines in collaboration with other administrators and instructors in the school district and ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
- Serve as the building School Assessment Coordinator under the direction of the District Assessment Coordinator
- Attend and assist with supervision of school-sponsored activities, functions, and athletic events. In collaboration with the administration team.
- Supervises arrival/dismissal, cafeteria duties and/or other operational functions as assigned.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
