- Collaborate with the NJ management structure to maintain company goals
- Direct the team that of people who respond to customer inquiries to Radwell by phone, email or through other means
- Direct the team to manage sales opportunities for all product; perform all sales tasks necessary to turn opportunities into billable sales
- Help guide the sourcing of products for manufacturers not currently supplied by Radwell (new products)
- Help to negotiate best purchase price for manufacturers not regularly supplied by Radwell (new products)
- Make sure that all staff check inventory (i.e. “PLC Center” inventory) and fulfill order out of inventory if possible
- Make sure that staff notify customers of price and delivery changes for orders placed online, verbally, fax, or by email. Make sure all customer supplied confirming orders have been checked for any differences in detail.
- Make sure that all non-cancelable non-returnable orders are not processed until we have a signed confirmation from the customer acknowledging their acceptance of the terms of the order.
- Assure that all correspondences with customers via phone and e-mail are timely, efficient, and done in a professional manner by all staff.
- Assure a high degree of customer satisfaction as measured by our automated survey system, customer feedback and other means
- Assure that the staff enter quotations and orders into the sales order processing systems; ensure accurate sales information including proper and accurate delivery, payment terms, and other critical order information; confirm all orders with customer; perform follow-up and order clean-up as necessary
- Help to facilitate the inside sales departments ability to interact with all departments within Radwell to effectively meet customer commitments
- Assist and direct the ongoing business system database cleanup and ongoing maintenance
- Pro-actively develop new business through outgoing customer calls and other means
- Manage all of the above activity for the team to achieve company sales objectives
- Monitor daily quotes and other sales activities of team’s ensure Radwell is best possible option for the customer; direct team members in maximizing gross profit on all quotes and orders
- Assist team members in closing orders
- Direct sales support on vendors to call for pricing
- Coach sales team members in performing the above and other assignments
- Manage sales floor to obtain daily goals
- The primary metrics is the achievement of the daily sales goals for all three divisions
- The ability to increase the department in size as needed to meet the company’s goals and or the customer requirements should sales opportunities exceed the company goals
- Measurements related to phone logs and on hold times, not available today but will be in the future
- Negative survey results vs. positive survey results
- This position is responsible for the detailed analysis of each sales person on the sales floor and the coaching of them and the team leaders to grow their achievement.
- Assure that all company policies related to work ethic and rules as well as order and quote processing are always enforced.
- Direct reports are the sales floor team members.
- Responsible for managing staff according to company policies related to staff management; administering policy consistently and using procedures and tools in place such as the “Confidential management Reporting System”, where appropriate to do so.
- Sign off on and review all returns that result in credits. Follow the company policies as to procedurals and correctives when the cause of the return dictates that one should be done
- Increase the talent on the sales floor by seeking and adding qualified personable representatives and building additional teams.
- Positions with direct reports are responsible to hold periodic safety training sessions (currently once a month) with said employees. Subject matter will be distributed at the monthly managers’ staff meeting. Subsequent to training sessions, managers must forward a confirming Training report to each direct report using the Management Reporting System.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher and/or extensive equivalent experience
- Experience managing/supervising a diverse staff
- Ability to interface with upper management
- Introductory Review -- Will be written at approximately 80 days after employment and will be used to determine whether employee has sufficiently met and performed the job requirements, and will indicate whether employment will continue
- Monthly Reviews – Employee will be given a brief written monthly review primarily focused on quantitative performance and measurement of sales activity
- Annual Reviews – Employee will be given a formal regular annual review, which assesses productivity and demonstrated business skills and accomplishments for the previous period.
