Essential Duties
  • Assists Executive Director of Enrollment Management in long-range planning, personnel issues and budgetary matters. Responsible for the overall budget for the Office of Admissions including budget reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, budget approvals, purchasing.
  • Administers the University's prospective/admitted student database and customer relationship management systems. Ensures the integrity of these systems as well as the productivity of these systems in the admissions function.
  • Interacts regularly with the Offices of Financial Aid, Information Technology Services, Institutional Research and Assessment and other campus units.
  • Provides accurate data to appropriate agencies and campus offices in a timely fashion, as requested, to ensure compliance with Board, state, and federal regulatory policy.
  • Evaluates undergraduate transcripts for admissions purposes; counsels students having problems related to the admissions process
  • Supervises admissions support team (transcript evaluation, mailings, CRM).
  • Interacts regularly with student athletes and/or Department of Athletics personnel and maintains compliance related to student athletes and athletics personnel. Reports concerns or possible violations to these guidelines to immediate supervisor.
  • Responsible for international admissions; supports the admission and ongoing enrollment of international students in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Serves as the university Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for international student programs; ensures that required documentation is appropriately maintained and reported to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) data collection and tracking system; ensures that the system is current and accurate; responds to requests for information or assistance as requested.
  • Works with high school and community college counselors to promote the University and admissions process.
  • Attends prospective student parties, counselor luncheons, and alumni chapter meetings as needed.
  • Participates in student recruitment programs with other members of the faculty and staff.
  • Serves as a resource and makes recommendations to the Executive Director of Enrollment Management in regards to admissions policies and processes.
  • Makes recommendations in regards to scholarship programs.
  • Coordinates with other members of the Enrollment Management leadership team and University Relations to develop marketing information necessary for recruitment such as brochures, posters, promotional items and digital advertising.
  • Serves as a resource in planning of recruiting activities and process and supports Admissions recruiting team.
  • Works closely with the Associate Director of Recruitment on budget management in support of recruiting operations (travel, printed materials, events, supplies, etc.).
  • Maintains accuracy of the Admissions webpages.
  • Serves on university committees and councils as specified by policy and as requested.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred; seasoned professional knowledge equivalent to a master's degree required.
Experience :
  • At least three years of experience working in an admissions environment; five years preferred
  • Functional knowledge of the Slate CRM, Microsoft Office Suite. Banner experience preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Commitment to working inclusively and respectfully within a diverse campus community.
  • Possess and maintain valid driver's license
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of the U.S. to serve as PDSO

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising the processing of applications, evaluation of transcripts, leveraging customer relationship management (CRM) strategies and systems, budgetary management, providing accurate data to various offices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, acting with the highest ethical standards, serving as the campus Presiding Designated School Official (PDSO) for international student programs, and evaluating best practice approaches for actions and processes.
