Job Title:Production Engineer Fall 2024 Co-opJob Description:Core Purpose:The co-op will serve as a production engineer for the pads BU, contributing to various processes within our group. They will collaborate very closely with our engineers and assist with crucial projects in the milling, lamination, surfacing, grooving, and finishing room processes. The co-op’s primary responsibility will involve supporting the CI projects and improvement of these processes, conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting with implementing new technologies.In this role, you will:In this role as a production engineer co-op, the expected outcomes would include a significant contribution to the improvement of various manufacturing processes in milling, lamination, grooving, surfacing, etc. The co-op will gain valuable hands-on experience, refine technical and communication skills and make measurable impacts on projects.You're a good fit if you have:To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering and be interested in manufacturing processes.They should demonstrate a passion for innovation and problem-solving and a willingness to learn from experienced engineers—excellent written and verbal communication skills.Additionally, the co-op should exhibit adaptability, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to challenges.Desired Major & Graduation Date:Mechanical engineering or Industrial engineeringPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift more than 10 lbsYour success will be measured by:The success of the co-op’s projects will be measured through several KPIs that align with our company’s goals:the ability to integrate seamlessly into the development engineering team and actively contribute to ongoing development projectsthe quality and efficiency of the co-op’s work as well as their ability to propose innovative solutions.We will evaluate and measure the outcomes, such as cost savings, efficiency gains, and enhanced product quality resulting from their involvement in the different processes.
