- Coordinate with the Clinical Research Nurse and other research team members to approach potential study participants, obtain informed consent and enroll them in the study according to the protocol.
- Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulations throughout the research process. Protect participant confidentiality and privacy, obtain informed consent, and adhere to ethical principles and practices.
- Implement the study by collecting data according to the protocol. Safeguard confidentiality of data by following the protocol.
- Collaborate effectively with the project team, including researchers, supervisors, and other research assistants. Maintain open and clear communication channels to ensure smooth project coordination and progress.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the project, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files, and managing project-related documentation.
- Maintain organized and detailed documentation of research procedures, protocols, and findings. This includes recording data collection processes, managing data files, and documenting analysis techniques used.
- Serve as backup for research protocols (other than primary assignment) as needed.
- Maintain quality of source documentation and research integrity
- Attend study meetings to represent the research unit and ensure data quality and the adherence to federal regulations governing clinical research.
- Participate in other research initiatives as workload allows
- Other duties as assigned by the PI or project manager of the project.

- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
- Master's Degree.
- One year of research experience (can be during Bachelor's degree)
- Research experience in a hospital setting, preferably labor & delivery or pediatrics.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY ($45,825 targeted; Commensurate with experience)
Employee group: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5:00 with occasional weekends depending on participants
