Key duties and details for Piping Technician | Pipe Mechanic:· Interpret construction drawings and blueprints· Follow specifications for precise installation· Install piping systems and fittings· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues· Perform code-compliant welds· Operate various tools and equipment· Maintain cleanliness and organization· Conduct pressure tests and inspections· Document work and report progress· Adhere to safety regulations· Verify integrity of piping systems
Qualifications for Piping Technician | Pipe Mechanic:· High School Diploma or GED· Welding and fabrication skills with certifications· Valid pipefitting certification· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience· Driver's License and work authorization· Use of PPE· Knowledge of OSHA guidelines· Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics· Experience with electrical test equipment· Valid electrician's license and driver's license· Ability to perform standing/sitting job· Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
