Working in a close-knit team, you will have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital.
You will be exposed to a number of medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles.
You will have continued support in your professional development through 24/7 access to the library, weekly teaching and Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and regular RMO forums.
Following that and depending on your interest, we have a number of runs available for you to work in. These include:
General Surgery
Orthopaedics
General Medicine
Psychiatry
AT&R
Relievers
ED (6 month run)
Paediatrics (6 month run)
O&G (6 month run)

Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at
A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience
It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.
