Company OverviewMental Health Resource Center is a not-for-profit Florida corporation that provides a wide range of mental health and behavioral health care services to the community such as 24-hour emergency services, inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents, and adults as well as outpatient services such as medication management, case management, and counseling.Job SummaryThe CSC Director ensures quality programming and the provision of competency–based behavioral health services through clinical and administrative oversight of the Comprehensive Services Center (CSC).Responsibilities
  • Ensures that the CSC programs operate according to agency and contractual guidelines, standards and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, screenings and admissions for medication management and counseling services.
  • Ensures all required paperwork and documentation is completed and then entered into the Electronic Health system in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with contractual and agency guidelines. This includes but is not limited to comprehensive psychosocial assessments, risk and trauma assessments, treatment/service plans and reviews, and service activity documentation.
  • Ensures staff productivity standards are maintained.
  • Creates, maintains and updates policies and procedures to ensure program compliance with Florida statutes and contractual requirements
  • Coordinates resources to ensure continuity of care and ensures that program staff maintain effective relationships with departments both inside the agency and external community providers.
  • Provides support to assist staff in determining appropriate level of care for individuals served in programs.
  • Ensures facilities are maintained to provide a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Prepares and submits reports.
  • Reviews reports to identify overutilization/underutilization of resources in outpatient programs.
  • Attends psychological autopsies.
  • Ensures programs and services meet the standards for Joint Commission accreditation.
  • Oversees direct services to individuals in the CSC and provides support to the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatrists.
  • Conducts staff meetings and individual supervision sessions.
  • Implements and monitors corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Ensures that staff development and training standards are maintained in accordance with company policy, contractual requirements, accreditation standards, and relevant Florida Statues.
  • Facilitates recruitment, hiring, orientation, development, retention, evaluation and employee relations in coordination with supervisor and the Human Resource Department.
  • Reviews times sheets for accuracy and approves leave requests within scheduled time period.
Qualifications
In order to be considered, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related Human Services field from an accredited university or college (a related Human Services field is defined as one in which 30 hours of course work includes the study of human behavior and development), three years’ experience working with individuals with mental illness, andtwo years of supervisory experience required.License eligible in the State of Florida required.Licensure in the State of Florida (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) preferred.If licensed, completion of State required Baker Act training required within one (1) year of employment.The CSC Director is required to make sound decisions independently on a daily basis, including but not limited to recognizing risks and emergencies and responding appropriately. In addition, the ideal candidate will enjoy a fast paced environment and knowing that what they do positively impacts the community.The CSC Director must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external customers, including patients, families, community service providers, supervisory staff and other department professionals. This position requires individual and group interaction with patients on a locked unit.Position Details
