- Must be able to handle multiple tasks with interruption
- knowledge and ability to perform tasks with Microsoft Office software; knowledge of ICD-9 CM and CPT coding systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of patient referral experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Previous experience with ICD-9 & CPT coding systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
- Basic knowledge of frequently ordered diagnostic tests
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
