Gpac is working with a leading agribusiness looking for a Crop Protection Technician to join their team. Applicants should have prior agronomy or farm equipment operation experience and ideally knowledge of GPS/Autosteer and operation of large self-propelled boom sprayers. In this role you will deliver chemicals, dry fertilizer and anhydrous to customers and other locations.Responsibilities:
  • Apply liquid and dry fertilizer and pesticides
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
  • Safety compliance
  • Measure and apply pesticides and liquid fertilizer to correct fields
  • Perform maintenance and maintain Equipment
  • Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how you can continue to support them with products and services.
  • Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work to including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections. Ensure proper equipment maintenance is completed including repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or GED
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • CDL Class A with Hazmat and tanker endorsements highly preferred
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Class A1 Pesticide License highly preferred
