- Preparation of necessary inventory analysis that supports the following:
- balance trending and forecasting,
- proper reserves for slow moving and obsolete inventory,
- consigned and outsourced balances along with associated accounting requirements,
- monthly inventory capitalization calculations,
- corporate reporting requests,
- compliance with SOX requirements related to cycle count and physical inventory procedures
- Preparation of necessary analysis that supports the Supply Chain team’s management of:
- subcontracting variances,
- purchase price variances,
- raw material values,
- proper accounting adjustments (as required)
- Support Manufacturing teams with development and understanding of:
- spending and absorption of actual performance,
- spending and absorption budget and estimate development,
- proper month-end accrual accounting complying with Olin’s financial policies
- Offer suggestions for specific actions in all these areas that improve financial performance.
- The position will be a hands-on partner with Winchester’s Supply Chain team, ensuring data accuracy and an in-depth understanding of the performance drivers.
- Develop and maintain additional financial reporting and analysis as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree** in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum five years of recent related experience.
- Knowledge of SAP systems or other ERP systems; SAP Business Objects or Power BI preferred.
- Ability to use statistical methods in analyzing large data sets to determine the primary influences and improve forecast accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage high-volume workload, and willingness to be collaborative and support team efforts.
- Must possess excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
