Job Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul vehicles.
  • Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
  • Inspect and adjust tire pressures, shock absorbers, and other automotive components.
  • Test and repair brakes, exhaust systems, suspensions, engine components, and other automotive parts.
  • Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings.
  • Use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues.
  • Keep records of customer/vehicle service and repair histories.
  • Explain diagnostic results and proposed repairs to customers.
  • Stay up to date on factory technical bulletins and attend educational workshops.
  • Follow manufacturer’s specifications and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Vocational/Trade School Certificate, High School Diploma, GED.
  • 3-5 years of direct diesel mechanical experience preferred (Chevrolet or similar dealership).
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and Saturdays as needed.
