Job Description:POSITION OVERVIEWAs a Summer Seasonal Lifeguard you are responsible, have a positive attitude, and have a knack for exceptional customer service. Under general supervision, lifeguards will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons within the pool area(s) by preventing and responding to emergencies. Lifeguards at the company must always be alert, reliable, and have a strong work ethic. Lifeguarding is the perfect summer job opportunity for individuals who would like to work outdoors, with their friends and have fun all at the same time! Additionally, there are opportunities for work bonuses and incentive programs for company referrals!ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations of the pool area.Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations, including administering first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administering CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.Maintain and complete required training and applicable certifications such as, but not limited to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Lifeguarding, AED; etc.Evaluate conditions for safety and initiate an aquatics emergency action plan as required.Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.Supervises and assists in cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment, assists with chlorine residual water tests and with records and charts of water tests and records of accidents, and adds chemicals to pool water as directed.Direct swimmers in and out of the pool in hazardous conditions.Ensure that you provide a high level of customer service in every interaction with clients.Perform any and all cleaning duties as assigned.Adhere and adapt to all current and new company policies, procedures and initiatives.Report any unsafe conditions or situations that require attention to your supervisor.Wear a corporate/building approved uniform for each specific location where you are working.Perform additional duties and responsibilities specific to the location/ building and upon the request of your supervisor.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSPrevious lifeguarding and customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.Current CPR / AED and Lifeguard and First Aid certifications.Certifications are available through Swim Club Management Group courses.Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate in multiple languages is an additional asset.Physical requirements may include: the ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, stand for long durations of time and lift at least 50 pounds at a time.Working outdoors for prolonged periods of time.WORK SCHEDULE
  • Flexible scheduling available to include options for, Monday thru Friday, Weekends, Morning and Night shifts for seasonal roles.
