This person will also be operating a forklift, vehicles and boats in the performance of job.Job Responsibilities:30% Shop work: Performs advanced technical support which includes the testing and maintenance of geophysical equipment and device used in the Field Support Group of Coastal Studies Institute; maintenance of boats, motors, vehicles and trailers; assist fabrication and installation of equipment.30% Field operations: Includes assisting the geophysical and hydrographic data acquisition; assisting technicians and scientists in the field with the operations of boats; the installation, maintenance and recovery of instrumentation in the field; monitoring of safety of operations; deck operations; complete Job Safety Analysis Paperwork.
