A small independent rapidly growing company in the mindfulness, wellness, and personal growth space is seeking a VP HR to join their team with a view to becoming a Chief HR Officer within the next 2-3 years. The position is commutable to London with an option for full-time remote work. The company offers online training courses, membership subscriber communities, and consumer goods / FMCG.Our client is a rapidly growing digital marketplace and eCommerce retail company based in the USA, specializing in the wellness, fitness, and coaching verticals. With a strong presence in the US market, we are expanding our operations into the EMEA region by opening an office in London. We are committed to providing exceptional products and services to our customers while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment for our employees.Job Title: Vice President of Human Resources (HR)Location: London, UK (with occasional travel to the USA)Job Summary: As the Vice President of Human Resources (HR) you will play a pivotal role in supporting the expansion into the EMEA region. Reporting directly to the CEO/COO, you will lead the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. This role requires a dynamic and experienced HR leader with a strong background in strategic HR management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and organizational development.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans for the EMEA region
  • Lead all aspects of talent acquisition, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Develop and implement robust performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans to drive employee engagement and productivity
  • Partner with department heads and senior leadership to identify training and development needs, and design and deliver learning programs to support employee growth and skill development
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including employee feedback mechanisms, recognition programs, and diversity and inclusion efforts to create a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Manage employee relations issues effectively, providing guidance and support to managers and employees to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work culture
  • Stay abreast of HR trends, best practices, and legal requirements to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in the UK and other EMEA countries
  • Establish HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Build and lead a high-performing HR team, providing coaching, development, and mentorship to develop HR capabilities and drive results
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company, preferably in the digital marketplace or eCommerce retail industry
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in the UK and other EMEA countries
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives to support business objectives and drive organizational growth
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Certified HR professional (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD) preferred
