Software Architect (m/w/d)

• Proven working experience in automotive software engineering
• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems
• In-depth knowledge of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN (Controller Area Network), LIN (Local Interconnect Network), and FlexRay.
• Knowledge of development processes and tool chains in automotive software development
• Knowledge in the AUTOSAR architecture
• SW integration knowledge
• Knowledge in Basic Software and AUTOSAR RTOS configuration
• Knowledge of the automotive standards (ASPICE, ISO26262)
• Awareness of automotive cybersecurity principles and practices to protect vehicle software from security threats

• Design and creation of requirements, specifications and design of software architecture
• Definition and maintenance of software module interfaces
• Interface with software related development activities to evaluate, review and clarify the requirements, architecture and implementation and ensure alignment
• Interface with system and hardware design to ensure software, hardware and system architecture are aligned
• Support the selection of appropriate design solutions, while considering hardware and software design for recommended architectural solutions development
• Support software QA
• Support for software integration and configuration
• Design, develop and maintain software architecture from concept to production
• Develop software in compliance with automotive standards and processes
• Define / Support Software FMEA for safety critical products

• Bsc/Msc in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering or a comparable educational background
• Programming knowledge in C or C++ or model based development
• Experiences with UML/SysML architecture modelling and associated tools
• Communication skills to interact with stakeholders, developers, and project managers
