In this role, you will be a main point of contact at the VIP Entrance with the potential to work in several different areas of the arena. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to greeting patrons, ticket scanning, and directing traffic. As a frontline representative of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, you will have the opportunity to assist our guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a World Class experience. Your job will be to provide a positive and efficient check-in experience.This role will pay an hourly wage of $12.50.For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.Experiation date 07.14.2024About the VenueThe Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.   • Prepare the VIP lobby for use; this could include but not limited to wiping down countertops, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor
  • When gates open, welcome patrons with a great smile and helpful attitude
  • Scan event tickets insuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entry
  • Assist patrons in locating their suite or club
  • Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur
  • Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our fans
  • Respond to all guest concerns/complaints promptly and in a professional manner
  • Assist guests to help accommodate their ADA accessible needs
  • Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests
  • Manage the foot traffic flow within the lobby
  • Be knowledgeable about arena emergency evacuation plan to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency
Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred
  • You must have a customer service first mentality and love working with and helping people
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • You must be able to maintain a POSITIVE attitude while handling difficult situations
  • Flexible schedule: Availability to work most home basketball games. Weekend availability is needed
