Research Assistant - ParalegalCovenant Review is currently seeking a Paralegal based out of our New York office.Covenant Review is a Fitch Solutions company that specializes in Leveraged Finance legal documents. Our team of experienced leveraged finance lawyers provide our subscribers (including hedge funds, insurance companies, mutual funds, and other asset managers) with market-leading analysis of the covenants drafted in the largest leveraged finance deals in the US, primarily covering high yield bonds and leveraged loans. We are looking for a paralegal to join our New York analyst team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to ultimately embark on a career in the financial and / or legal services sector, in areas such as asset management, credit research, investment banking, or corporate law.What We Offer:

We'll Count on You To:
  • Proofread, edit, format, and distribute legal reports for publication
  • Assist the lawyers by preparing research notes on legal developments and deal trends
  • Support the lawyers with day-to-day production assistance, such as document procurement, running blacklines, preparing reports, and communicating with clients
  • Proactively manage and organize documentation and reports to ensure lawyers can work efficiently
What You Need to Have:
  • Demonstrably excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Extremely strong attention to detail plus the ability to multi-task
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2 - 3 year's of work experience as a paralegal

  • Certificate/degree in paralegal studies
  • Capital markets and/or corporate law experience
  • Proactive problem-solving and strong organizational skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Experience contributing to a team under time-pressured deadlines

Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors.
