Job SummaryJob Title: Food Court LeadFSLA Status: HourlySupervisor: Food Court ManagerResponsible for working closely with Food Court associates in an effort to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience is consistently delivered and all company policies and procedures are being upheld. Assists Food Court Manager by contributing to store sales and profitability by effectively managing all aspects of the Food Court operations (Caribou coffee, pizza, Asian cuisine and popcorn).Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists Food Court Manager with achieving labor goals by creating associate schedules and collaborating with store leadership on daily/weekly/annual labor objectives
  • Assists Food court Manager by overseeing all aspects of café gross profit goals, planning and shrink control
  • Leads, coaches and reinforces Festival culture, guest service and performance expectations for all Food Court associates
  • Assists the Food Court Manager with training of new associates
  • Provides guidance to café associates and leads by example
  • Encourages teamwork through daily operations and ensures all department standards are met
  • Works alongside Food Court associates and ensures the success of daily operation
  • Provides excellent guest service by locating and recommending Food Court Caribou coffee, pizza, Asian cuisine or popcorn
  • Ensures correct signage is represented throughout the Food Court
  • Observes sales floor and back stock conditions; takes action to correct areas of opportunity
  • Assists with maintaining appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing on products received and sold
  • Places orders with various vendors for special orders and holidays, utilizing item movement as needed
  • Collaborates with Food Court Manager to ensure high quality product and service to drive growth in sales
  • Provides excellent guest services by addressing concerns, resolving issues and living the boomerang principle
  • Assists all Food Court associates with daily responsibilities while leading by example
  • Contributes to overall cleanliness of the Food Court by maintaining, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and sales floor as needed
  • Assist Food Court Manager with associate timekeeping and accuracy.
  • Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs and the ability to learn café technology
  • Preferred knowledge of the retail food business
  • Ability to make timely and effective decisions
  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel
  • Knowledge and understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
  • Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises.
  • Proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: Hand jack, slicers, baler, trash compactor, fryer, oven, grinders, and mixers
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Stand in place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • Full range of upper body motion
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
WORK SCHEDULE
  • The Food Court Lead is a full-time, hourly position
  • This position may work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on what business dictates
