A prominent commercial glass and glazing company is searching for a qualified Glazier/Installer to join their team. This company excels in a vast array of commercial glass and glazing projects with a solid background in the industry. This is a great opportunity and if you want to join a reputable company that promotes internal growth then this is the position for you.Glazier Responsibilities:Glass Installation: Professionally install various types of glass, including float glass, safety glass, insulated glass units, and specialty glass, in windows, doors, skylights, partitions, storefronts, curtain walls, and other architectural elements.Cutting and Fabrication: Measure, cut, and shape glass using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure accurate dimensions and smooth edges.Frame Installation: Assemble and install frames and related materials to support the glass panels securely and durably.Sealant Application: Apply weather sealants and adhesives to provide waterproofing and weatherproofing for installed glass units.Glass Repair and Replacement: Perform repair and replacement of damaged or broken glass panels with precision and attention to detail.Reading Blueprints: Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to understand project requirements and ensure accurate installation.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards and complies with building codes and regulations.Client Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and addressing their concerns.Materials Management: Manage glass inventory and order necessary materials, ensuring adequate supplies for ongoing projects.Glazier Qualifications:Proven experience as a Glazier, with at least 3 years of relevant glazing experience.Proficiency in handling various glass types, including cutting, shaping, and installing.Familiarity with glazing tools and equipment, such as glass cutters, glass suction cups, and glazing spades.Knowledge of different glazing systems, glass types, and installation methods.Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices in a construction environment.Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and specifications.Physical fitness and dexterity to work comfortably in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.For additional information on this opportunity, or would like to discuss other Glass and Glazing positions, please reach out to Joe Brinkman at 605-705-3364 (call/text).
