Salary: £316.50 UMB P/DAre you passionate about making a difference in your community? The City of Westminster is seeking a Homeless Prevention Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in reducing reliance on temporary accommodation for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.Overview:As a Homeless Prevention Coordinator, you will work closely with the Housing Needs team to facilitate the transition of clients from nightly booked Temporary Accommodation (TA) to sustainable housing options. Reporting to the Homelessness Prevention Manager, you will also have the opportunity to deputize for them, taking on complex cases and moving them forward urgently.Responsibilities:Support individuals and families in transitioning from TA to long-term accommodation.
Conduct client visits and develop relocation plans collaboratively.
Provide compassionate and empathetic customer care.
Offer advice and assistance on homelessness prevention and access to support services.
Prioritize customer experience in all interactions.
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve objectives.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of homelessness law and regulations.
Address financial crisis and immigration issues for clients.
Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Adhere to legislation and best practices in service delivery.
Contribute to ongoing service improvements.Experience and Skills:Proficiency in homelessness law and provision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
