- Set up and prepare press brake machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tooling and materials.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the precise bending requirements.
- Program and adjust machine settings, including speed, angle, and pressure, to achieve accurate bends and cuts.
- Load materials into the machine and align them properly to ensure precise shaping.
- Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.
- Keep accurate records of production data and work performed.
- Adhere to quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of proven experience as a Press Brake Operator in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
- Knowledge of press brake machine setup, programming, and operation.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools used in metal fabrication.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Safety-conscious and able to adhere to safety regulations and protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
