- Anticipate and assess clients' needs and objectives through strategic planning and relationship management.
- Comfortable operating at the strategic level, identifies opportunities to demonstrate and deliver value to senior leadership at the time of strategy setting.
- Access, analyze and present relevant market intelligence to inform stakeholders aligned with the Sourcing strategy and business strategy.
- Evolve sourcing and procurement processes based on category specific business or internal stakeholder requirements.
- Strategically manage vendor relationships. Coordinate ongoing supplier management practices with internal customers to optimize financial and operational performance.
- Identify and qualify potential new partners to ensure forward looking visibility of best-in-class cost, service delivery, service offerings and future service or capability roadmap.
- Identify opportunities for cost and/or process improvements.
- Manage bid proposals (RFI/RFP), requirements documentation (SOW), service level agreements (SLA), purchase/service agreements and other related documents.
- Negotiate pricing, terms & risk adverse commercial conditions for complex information technology agreements including, but not limited to, software (SAAS), hardware, network, cloud, managed services, support and maintenance, Non-disclosure (NDA), master services agreements (MSA) and professional services agreements.
- Manage and track contract lifecycle.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership team on strategy, savings and other KPIs.
- Maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads and other stakeholders regarding Sourcing activities.
- A leader and self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve results.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in fast paced environment.
- Greater than 10 years of relevant procurement experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and/or Ariba knowledge is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; with the ability to influence.
- Strong negotiation skills. Fluent in relevant contract terms and current supply and market dynamics
- Deep understanding of IT-relevant industry standards and market trends including strategic issues that may impact how large corporations acquire and implement IT services and products.
- Experience being responsible for 3rd party technology partners and vendor relationships.
