Kentucky Cooperage is currently looking for a Class A CDL Yard Truck Driver. A qualified candidate will drive and maneuver trailers from the lot to loading docks and vice versa or haul trailers locally as needed. This person is responsible for our equipment's safe and timely operation, which may include semi-trucks, yard tractors, pallet jacks, or forklifts.Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Move semi-trailers around the yard or to dock doors
- Driving up to 11 hours per day
- Maintaining the daily safety of company-owned equipment such as semi-truck and semi-trailers.
- Working with our maintenance department to perform preventative and regular maintenance on equipment
- Effectively communicate on a daily basis with dispatch and management.
- Ability and experience using heavy equipment for loading/Unloading processes.
- Experience strapping and tarping loads or using other means of load securement for maximum safety and load integrity.
- Work and communicate closely with team members.
- Assist other team members as necessary.
- Responsible for personal safety.
- A current and valid Class A CDL license is required.
- Current DOT Physical required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
