Shipping and Receiving Clerk

- Coordinate the shipment of goods
- Prepare records of goods shipped
- Create bill of lading
- Post weight and shipping charges
- Receive incoming shipments of merchandise of other materials
- Route good to the proper departments
- Placing finished products in containers (case) for shipping storage
- Using appropriate packing material to prevent breaking or damage
- Closing and sealing container
- Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
- Verify correctness of shipments against bills of lading
- Keep records of goods received
- Report damaged goods and shortages
- High School Diploma.
- One (1) year of experience in machine tool industry.
- Well organized, works well with others, industrious and hardworking, and able to keep working with minimal direction.
- Knowledge of computers (esp. S&R systems), and organizational and communication skills.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Driving fork trucks and running cranes is typical.
