DescriptionAverage Starting Hourly Pay Range $18.56 - 34.42PTO upon hire, Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits are offered after 90 days of employment, 401K after 6 monthsPosition Overview: As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Merrill Technologies Group you are responsible for receiving materials (incoming), shipping product (outgoing).Job Functions:
  • Coordinate the shipment of goods
  • Prepare records of goods shipped
  • Create bill of lading
  • Post weight and shipping charges
  • Receive incoming shipments of merchandise of other materials
  • Route good to the proper departments
  • Placing finished products in containers (case) for shipping storage
  • Using appropriate packing material to prevent breaking or damage
  • Closing and sealing container
  • Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
  • Verify correctness of shipments against bills of lading
  • Keep records of goods received
  • Report damaged goods and shortages
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • One (1) year of experience in machine tool industry.
  • Well organized, works well with others, industrious and hardworking, and able to keep working with minimal direction.
  • Knowledge of computers (esp. S&R systems), and organizational and communication skills.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Driving fork trucks and running cranes is typical.
