- Help support vulnerable populations through the development of meaningful programs
- Participate as a team member and help lead projects to help states develop, implement and improve their Medicaid and CHIP pharmacy programs
- Be viewed by the client as an expert on Medicaid pharmacy program design in areas that may include policy, federal authorities, program operations, financial and budgeting aspects of Medicaid and CHIP programs
- Clearly define the scope, timelines, staffing and deliverables for the project and ensure the project team is within budget, on time and providing deliverables consistent with the scope
- Consider the implication of policy, legal, political or other changes on the operation of a state’s Medicaid pharmacy program
- Present results and analysis to clients and key stakeholders; during presentations, answer detailed and challenging questions regarding the data and analytical methodology
- Work on multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously
- Participate in sales pursuits with new and current clients
- Participate in the development of GHSC’s thought leadership for both internal and external audiences
- BA/BS degree required; BS in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred
- An Active License as a pharmacist in at least one U.S. State
- Master’s degree in health policy, public policy, public health, business administration or related field preferred
- State Medicaid or Managed Medicaid pharmacy management experience required, including experience with regulations, waivers, state plan amendments and/or state operations
- Experience identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to client’s complex challenges
- Track record of leading effective project teams and being accountable for project results
- Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
- Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Pharmacy benefit management experience
- Consulting experience
- Subject matter expertise in value-based purchasing, alternative payment methodology, Medicaid managed care rate development process, and/or Medicaid PBM procurement including CMS certification preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a hybrid working environment
