Certification: Possess a current, valid Secondary Missouri Principal's CertificateExperience desired: Administrative experience and a minimum of 2 years successful classroom teaching experienceOther Requirements: Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education. The applicant must also adhere to other duties as assigned by the building Principal. Willard High School is a founding member of the COC (Central Ozarks Conference), one of the leading academic, athletic, and activities conferences in Missouri.Performance Responsibilities:1. Assists the principal with administrative and instructional functions to meet the educational needs of students and carry out the mission and goals of the school and district.2. Sets high expectations and standards for the academic and social developmentof all students and the performance of adults.3. Assists in providing for effective curricular leadership which supports positive educational change for the purpose of increasing student achievement.4. Uses multiple sources of data as tools to assess, identify, and apply instructional improvement.5. Acts in a supportive role with the principal to establish and maintain good school-community relations.6. Assists in supervision of class scheduling, supervisory schedules, lunch schedules, class roster assignments, activities, and student recognition programs.7. Promotes and nurtures a school climate that creates an instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.8. Assists in leadership responsibilities for the effective selection, induction, and continual staff development of all personnel.9. Assists in the evaluation of staff and provides primary assistance to new staff and those needing improvement in instructional delivery.10. Assists in student discipline that is fair, consistent, within policy guidelines, and focused on effecting appropriate student behavior.11. Performs any other duties of school operations as assigned by the building principal.12. Assumes responsibility in the absence of the principal.13. Demonstrates effective skills in problem analysis, decision-making, and judgment.14. Demonstrates effective communication skills.15. Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations with students, staff, and community.16. Continues personal, professional development by participating in appropriate professional and civic organizations/activities.17. Holds high expectations for self as evidenced by modeling positive work habits and behaviors.18. Assumes responsibilities outside the school as related to school matters.
