- Use systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to manage projects related to space domain awareness and radiometric spacecraft MS&A research, education and/or consultation.
- Validate models with a variety of collected data across AFRL, the DoD, and academia.
- Determine how best to accomplish spacecraft MS&A objectives, develop and evaluate alternatives, design and conduct experiments, analyze and interpret results, publish papers and technical reports, deliver presentations of results, and monitor in-house activities.
- Prepare contractual documents, technical reports, author requirements, and/or evaluate technical proposals if needed.
- Perform satellite evaluation and modeling, satellite vulnerability assessments, create tools for vulnerability assessments, integrate a wide range of data from a variety of laboratories, and conduct trade studies and assessments for Space Force and Air Force acquisition decisions.
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- A BS (+5yrs experience), MS (+3yrs experience) or PhD in Engineering or Science (Physics)
- A background in two or more of the following focus areas: Astrodynamics, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and simulation, Statistics, Weapon Lethality Analysis, Optics/Optical Design, High Energy Laser Design/Operations, Laser-Materials Interaction
- Experience with high energy lasers and laser effects
- Experience with laser-material interaction or thermal-material interaction
- Experience with satellite system design/operations
- Experience with threat assessment or vulnerability analysis
- Coding experience with Python, C++, MatLab
- Priority to those who already hold a Top Secret Clearance
