Responsibilities:
- Achieve warehouse operational objectives through the contribution of warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, and creates processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Continuous development, implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
- Create warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
- Establish warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout, and implementing changes.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of related experience required in lieu of degree.
- Must have experience in the integrated functions of manufacturing.
- Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
- Experience in operations, inventory management, visual management systems, Microsoft Office products, inventory control/shipping software, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
- Data analysis skills as well as intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge.
