The educational experience provided to our students and their families is rooted in a higher calling from God to honor and celebrate the gifts He has given us.Job SummaryOur Lady of Lourdes School in Washington, Mo., is seeking a sixth-grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are seeking a candidate who possesses effective classroom management skills who can collaborate with the other Sixth Grade teaching partner.Job Responsibilities
  • Provides grade appropriate instructional program including:
  • Lesson plan
  • Classroom preparation
  • Assessment of each student's performance.
  • Provides grade appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities.
  • Supervises students.
  • Participates in faculty meeting, school committees, and in-services.
  • Attends other school functions and activities as is necessary.
Job Requirements
  • Must have basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic School philosophy, goals, and objectives.
  • Must have necessary background and training in elementary/secondary education methods and subject areas.
  • Must have understanding of child development and skills necessary to relate to the students being taught.
  • Must have appropriate control and discipline techniques, which will enhance the learning environment.
  • Must work cooperatively with the parish staff.
  • Candidates should be a practicing Catholic and certified in elementary education or middle school.
  • Must have the following education, training, and experience.
  • BA or BS in elementary education.
  • Successful experience in student teaching or classroom teaching
  • Appropriate certification
  • Positive references and recommendations
