Participation with clinical faculty in the hospital practice. Share in the emergency duty rotation of the large animal hospital.
  • 50% Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian, i.e. examine patients, order tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, and communicate with clients and referring veterinarians, for patients presented to their assigned Service.
  • 30% Provide clinical care in the role of a veterinarian in the emergency duty schedule (evening, weekend and holiday duty on a rotating schedule) with other members of their assigned Service.
  • 10% Participate in the clinical and tutorial instruction of Phase II students, including daily student rounds; and other duties as assigned
  • 10% Participate in Journal club, attend all HO Rounds/Seminar (VMED 7001) sessions and other seminars which are requirements of the Intern’s assigned Service.
