education: Bachelorsresponsibilities:
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities (15%).
  • Lead and manage assigned capital projects, including new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation projects, and maintenance-related projects.
  • Develop scope of work and evaluate bids for work completion (55%).
  • Monitor outside contractors to ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting (10%).
  • Possess a working knowledge of engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and solid waste (5%).
  • Responsible for the cost schedule and performance of assigned projects (5%).
  • Understand and comply with all property accounting policies and procedures (5%).
Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Stay abreast of technological trends and procedures through involvement with outside organizations, professional contacts, periodicals, books, seminars, etc.
  • Timely communication of all aspects of assigned projects.
  • May be required to coordinate other internal functions, such as the Controls group and Designer.
  • Works as required with the safety committee and safety management to implement safety suggestions providing a safe atmosphere for the total plant operation.
Education and Experience:
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of capital project management experience, 1+ years of budget management experience.
  • Capable of managing the capital budget process from beginning to end.
  • Thorough understanding of engineering economics.
