You will be responsible with helping and assisting the Food and Beverage manager with staff, overseeing of schedules and day to day operations of the Canteen. BASIC SCHEDULE/REQUIREMENTS:
  • As a requirement of this position, pre-hire criminal history clearances are collected from the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH) system, child abuse clearances are obtained through the Department of Public Welfare, and federal history is taken through FBI fingerprint screening.
  • Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines
  • Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all-season environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings:
  • On-site work attendance at Woodward PA
  • Summer Camp Season (June 4th - August 26th)
  • Develop a mindset to always help or cross train with all staff and departments

  • Oversight of Food Service Attendants and Cashiers
  • Lead by example to guests and co-workers, creating positive and inspiring environment
  • Support and communicate to staff the importance of utilizing tools that allow us to be efficient and ensure procedures and tasks are executed with attention to detail
Service Excellence
  • Understand and drive the process of selling and preparing food
  • Oversee the weekly camper card, credit card and cash transactions.
  • Maintain ServSafe guidelines and HACCP protocol maintained including record keeping of all cooler temperatures, cooking, cooling and holding temperatures, ware washing temps, sanitizer ppm and thermometer calibration logs
  • Keep the food service area organized and clean, both behind the counter and in the guest seating area.
  • Supervising opening and closing tasks, as well as communicate with the Food and Beverage Manager regarding needs and safety concerns
  • Attend and participate in staff training to acquire knowledge for behavior management techniques, emergency evacuation procedures, etc.
  • Communicate inventory of food and supplies to Food and Beverage Manager
  • Calmly administer patience and compassion with confidence to all guests-parents, campers, staff and VIP's.
Facilities and Equipment
  • Communicate any and all maintenance needed to uphold a safe and sanitized food service area
  • Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team
  • ServSafe Food Handler's Certificate
  • Ability to project manage and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
