- Lead the estimating process for electrical projects of varying size and complexity, from initial bid to final submission.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Analyze project requirements and scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support the estimating process.
- Mentor and train junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise to support their professional development.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project specifications.
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
- Minimum of five years of experience in electrical estimating, with a demonstrated track record of successfully bidding and securing projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
