By empowering our people, reducing waste, and developing innovative and efficient systems, we support the communities and resources that spur the industries and technologies of the future.Position Overview:Develop and maintain plant processes and procedures to manager inventory and materials within the plant to AOP level and improve on-time deliveries to customers.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Inventory Management to AOP Plan
  • Maintain management of customer orders and demands.
  • Responsible for managing ERP system parameter settings that drive material planning requirements in pursuit of continuously improving inventory turns without disrupting manufacturing schedules.
  • Planning raw material and supply chain to ensure plant production needs are met.
  • Manage Excess & Obsolete Inventory Review
  • Troubleshoot logistic demands for both customers and suppliers.
  • Drive value added activities with the plant personnel and engineering to improve material yield and reduce scrap.
  • Proactively work with corporate sourcing and material planning groups to achieve successful and timely PPAP approvals of new suppliers/products. Collaborate with those same teams to resolve supplier delivery/quality issues.
  • Manage the Materials staff at the plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Materials processes and procedures.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of Materials experience
  • Management experience
  • Experience with most aspects of plant operations and processes
Skills & Abilities:
  • Considerable knowledge of all plant functions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills - excellent judgment and decision making, ability to motivate others, management skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience - 6-Sigma, Lean, Quality, etc.
  • Teamwork, Coaching and Development
