Customer Project Execution - APAC
APAC Offshore Pre-Installation Site ManagementPre-assembly of offshore wind turbines aims to optimize the use of installation vessels reducing the number of lifts needed in offshore conditions and ensure the assets mechanical completion is achieved in a controlled environment. Pre-assembly of offshore wind turbines consists of mounting several towers sections at a quayside to be ready for nacelle installation, perform nacelle pre-commissioning and load-out the components to the offshore installation vessels.Responsibilities
  • Plan and complete every task assigned to your supervision as smoothly and efficiently as possible and verify that the performance of the tasks is in accordance with the defined methods, processes and procedures set out for the pre-assembly site.
  • Plan and coordinate all resources as required by the tasks of the pre-assembly site taking necessary action to maintain the planning and utilize the efficiency of the team. Track and record all relevant planned/un-planned work tasks
  • Preform quality walkdowns
  • Identify, register and handle deviations using the relevant tools, methods, processes and procedures
  • Time registration for all employees and contractors under your supervision should be recorded and approved every day to maintain control of the work tasks
  • Ensure a safe work practice by acting in compliance with HSE requirements
  • Ensure implementation of upgrades and assist in the implementation of new procedures
  • Support Mechanical and Electrical completion jobs on nacelle and blade
  • Warehousing and maintenance of tools, control subcontractors performing maintenance operations on installation tools
  • Management and organization of equipment and tooling for the jobs.
  • Reporting activities progress and assembly issues.
Qualifications
  • Technical background, e.g. mechanical, electrical or similar
  • Banksman experience, Lifting Experience.
  • Good management skills
  • Highly focused on HSE, quality and customer relations
  • Good process understanding and communication skills as well as good delegation skills
  • Experience in offshore industry projects site construction, with multinational team and subcontractor workforce.
  • Significant experience in Wind Turbine assembly project site construction or offshore large construction projects.
  • Lifting and banking experience.
  • Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes
  • Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction and commissioning of offshore works.
  • Electrical knowledge, cables installation and connection, able to read and follow schematics..
  • Familiar with the use of Hydraulic and manual torque wrenches.
  • Ability to start and operate WTG systems such as Pitch system, Yaw system, Cooling circuits, elevator, hydraulic system.
  • Basic Knowledge of software tools and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Quality Management Tools
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Technical Degree in electrical or mechanical , Bachelor Engineering degree on Mechanical or Electrical is advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years Engineering experience or other related field on offshore industry including a minimum 3 years of experience in power electrical system.
