We are looking for experienced Quality Inspector who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of aerostructures components used in the aerospace industryEssential Functions:Visual Inspection:
  • Conduct visual inspections of aerostructures components to identify any defects, damage, or discrepancies in the manufacturing process.
  • Verify that the components meet design specifications and engineering drawings.
Dimensional Inspection:
  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment to perform dimensional inspections on aerostructures components.
  • Ensure that critical dimensions and tolerances are within specified limits.
Documentation Review:
  • Review and interpret technical documents, including engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Verify that manufacturing processes adhere to approved procedures and standards.
Material Inspection:
  • Inspect and verify the materials used in aerostructures components to ensure they meet specified standards and are free from defects.
  • Monitor assigned work areas for adherence to processes and procedures, proper use of tools and fixtures, calibration date of tools in use, shelf life of life limited items (i.e. rubber goods, adhesives, sealants, etc.), proper storage of materials and components, and safety practices.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
  • Perform or oversee non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic testing, or other testing methods to report conformance.
Quality Control:
  • Monitor and enforce quality control processes throughout the manufacturing and assembly phases.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay informed about relevant aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) to ensure that aerostructures components comply with industry requirements.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address any discrepancies or quality concerns.
  • Provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes and prevent recurring issues.
Reporting:
  • Document inspection findings, maintain inspection records, and generate reports summarizing the quality status of aerostructures components.
Training:
  • May be required to train and assist other employees.
Safety:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in aerospace inspection is preferred.
  • Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or inspection working on Boeing Commercial and/or Gulfstream aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quality Inspector or equivalent position performing quality inspections in a manufacturing setting.
  • 7 years’ experience for level II & III inspectors and minimum 10 years’ experience for level IV
  • 1- 3 years aircraft manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Moderate understanding of general aspects of Quality and aircraft manufacturing.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite desired.
  • Must have high attention to detail with the ability to work thoroughly and quickly in a production environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
  • Understanding of relevant aviation regulations.
  • Ability to read and speak English proficiently required in order to perform the job.
