  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $23.98 - $37.20. [OR The annual salary for this position is $49,872 - $77,376.]

Oregon City is also home to Willamette Falls, the largest waterfall by volume in the Pacific Northwest.Position HighlightsThe is hiring a Small Claims and Collections Clerk (Court Operations Associate).In this role…As a Small Claims and Collections Clerk, you will be working within the areas of Collections, Small Claims, and Landlord-Tenant. Much of your day will be spent providing information to judges, judicial staff and the legal community regarding complex collection and activity; including fee deferral and waivers, Small Claims and Landlord Tenant case status, payment plans, warrants, garnishments, tax offset and debt assignment. You are responsible for providing guidance to court staff, judicial staff and external customers regarding public applications for fee deferrals and/or waivers. Using multiple electronic collection tools, you will monitor small claims and landlord/tenant pending reports, track pending cases and take appropriate action pursuant to statute to ensure that cases are completed within set guidelines.You will establish payment plans for debtors requesting payment deferment by reviewing the expiration of judgment, other court ordered obligations, outstanding garnishments and bankruptcy status. You will also perform interviews and data entry related to the indigent defense program through review of applications for persons out of and in custody.Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs. Working Conditions
  • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
